The Charlotte Youth Ballet is a premier, non-profit classical youth ballet company in Charlotte, North Carolina dedicated to providing student dancers opportunities to perform in professional caliber productions.

Students gain real stage experience in full-scale productions with internationally acclaimed ballet professionals, creating unforgettable opportunities.
Growth and confidence
Dancers from 22+ studios across the Charlotte area come together to focus on technique, creativity and confidence in a supportive and inspiring environment while fostering friendships and memories that last a lifetime.
Community outreach
We give back to the community by partnering with local schools and organizations to provide Charlotte-area students with education and exposure to ballet and the arts - many for the first time.
Auditions
Auditions for the 2026-2027 season will be held at Central Piedmont’s Dale F. Halton Theater on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Our RepertoireSince 1981, Charlotte Youth Ballet has put on unforgettable productions featuring talented young dancers and professional guest artists.
Each show brings timeless stories, beautiful choreography and family-friendly entertainment to the Charlotte community.

community OUtreach
Charlotte Youth Ballet is committed to making the arts accessible to children throughout the Charlotte community by offering free performances for students in Title I schools and discounted tickets for other local school groups, including Girl Scout troops.
Through these outreach programs, thousands of children are introduced to the beauty and magic of live ballet — many for the very first time — creating meaningful arts experiences they may not otherwise have the opportunity to enjoy.
