The nutcracker
On Christmas Eve, young Clara receives a beautiful Nutcracker doll from her mysterious godfather, Dr. Drosselmeyer, during a festive holiday party. That night, Clara awakens to a magical adventure as her Nutcracker comes to life and leads toy soldiers into battle against the Mouse King. After the victory, the Nutcracker transforms into a Prince and takes Clara on a wondrous journey through the Land of Snow to the enchanting Kingdom of Sweets. There, they are welcomed by the Sugar Plum Fairy and treated to dazzling dances from around the world before Clara returns home, left to wonder if the magical night was all a dream.
Alice in wonderland
One summer afternoon, Alice falls asleep during a picnic with her sisters and Lewis Carroll, beginning a magical adventure. She follows the White Rabbit down a rabbit hole, where she grows and shrinks before entering the Garden of Living Flowers. Along the way, Alice meets the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Dormouse. In the Royal Garden, she encounters the King and Queen of Hearts, plays a lively game of croquet, and watches the Knave of Hearts stand trial. Alice awakens back on the riverbank with her sisters and Lewis Carroll, wondering if it was all just a dream.
Cinderella
Set to Sergei Prokofiev’s wartime score, this ballet tells the classic tale of Cinderella - the mistreated girl left to do all the housework by her Stepmother and Ugly Stepsisters. When an invitation comes to the royal ball, Cinderella’s stepsisters tear up her invitation, but when left alone, mice appear to help Cinderella with her housework so she can go to the ball. When Cinderella enters the ball, the Prince falls in love with her, but as the clock strikes twelve, she makes a desperate attempt to leave, leaving behind a glass slipper. The Prince travels to lands afar to find his true love, the owner of the glass slipper. When the Prince arrives at Cinderella’s door, the Stepsisters scramble to try on the matching slipper and they are unsuccessful. The slipper fits Cinderella and the handsome Prince recognizes her as his love and they live happily ever after.
Coppélia
Set in a village in southern Poland during the annual Harvest Festival, Dr. Coppélius has constructed a doll so lifelike that everyone, including Franz, believes she is real. When Franz's betrothed, Swanilda, sees him flirting with Coppélia, she and her friends sneak into Dr. Coppélius's workshop and discover that Coppélia is only a doll. Chaos erupts when Dr. Coppélius returns and finds his workshop in shambles. Mistaking Swanilda for his doll, he attempts to bring Coppélia to life using Franz, but the pair escape. The next day at the Harvest Festival, Franz and Swanilda are married, and Dr. Coppélius is compensated for the damage to his workshop.
Snow White
Following the traditional fairy tale, a queen gives birth to a beautiful baby whose skin is white as snow, her lips red as blood and her hair black as ebony. Although Snow White’s mother dies, she grows into a lovely young girl. The Evil Queen who replaces her mother is jealous of Snow White’s beauty and attention from the Prince. She summons the Huntsman and employs him to kill the young princess in the woods. The Huntsman cannot bring himself to kill Snow White and leaves her alone in the forest. She discovers new friends in the Dwarves, who are miners. The Evil Queen disguises herself as a witch and convinces Snow White to take a bite of an apple she has poisoned leading Snow White to collapse and a funeral is held. Although the Sprites try to bring her back to life, only love can save her. The Prince arrives and his love revives her.
the wizard of oz
The prologue begins at the Kansas farm, where Dorothy lives with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. A strange peddler appears, and Dorothy is magically drawn into a deep sleep. A tornado sweeps Dorothy, Toto, and the farmhouse to Munchkinland, where she learns the house has landed on the Wicked Witch of the East. The Good Fairy sends Dorothy along the Yellow Brick Road to find the Wizard of Oz. Along the way, Dorothy meets the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion. The Wizard promises to grant their wishes after they defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. Dorothy ends the Witch's magic with a bucket of water, but misses her ride home with the Wizard. The Good Fairy reveals Dorothy has always had the power to return home, and Dorothy awakens safely with her family.
