Student Code of Conduct
Honesty, integrity, respect and good sportsmanship are expected at all times.
Student dancers must follow all CYB rules, policies and procedures.
Student dancers must respect all teachers/staff/volunteers and their decisions.
Student dancers must respect all facilities and costumes and refrain from damaging or defacing property.
Student dancers must respect their fellow dancers.
Student dancers must demonstrate proper conduct, a positive attitude, and serve as a role model for fellow dancers.
Student dancers must attend mandatory warm-up and full rehearsals as scheduled by the Artistic Team.
Student dancers are expected to arrive on time and stay for the entirety of their assigned section. If a student dancer has an unexpected need to miss or arrive late to their rehearsal they must receive approval from the Artistic Team prior to rehearsal date.
Student dancers are expected to actively participate according to their role and Artistic Team requirements during all warm-up and rehearsals and comply with all reasonable requests – e.g. If a student dancer is en pointe they must rehearse en pointe.
In addition, Company dancers must:
Participate in both Nutcracker and Spring Show in all roles cast.
Participate in Company fundraisers.
Pay the additional Company Fee - This includes one CYB jacket given the first season in the Company and the cost of master classes.
Complete a background check if 19 years or older.
